Abstract
Dr. Sylvia Keesmaat, a Biblical scholar, provides helpful guidance to understand Biblical teachings about human sexuality, using Reformed principles of hermeneutics. She begins with insights into why this is a difficult issue in churches, and she draws out practical implications for both individuals and public witness in society. Dr. Keesmaat brings to her presentation years of deep study of the Bible, her Reformed roots, and her PhD studies at Oxford under N.T. Wright, to help local churches work through challenging issues. She also has years of experience involved in the lives of students and local church communities.
